Client: A small-cap biopharmaceutical manufacturer.

Situation: Millions of dollars of business was at risk due to some inaccurate media reports concerning alleged QC problems in their manufacturing facility.

Results: By moving quickly to develop a standby statement, Q & A document and an aggressive legal strategy, we were able to neutralize the negative publicity and maintain 100% of the company's customers.

Client: A university-based comprehensive cancer center.

Situation: The Cancer Center was not doing enough outreach and image-building; as a result, patients were seeking treatment in Boston or New York rather than using the state's finest medical center.

Results: We developed a weekly radio program on the state's largest station, hosted by clinicians from the Cancer Center; the 30-minute program is devoted to a discussion of a broad range of topics related to cancer. The program was so compelling after its first year on the air that it is now being carried on National Public Radio.

Client: A non-profit school reform organization.

Situation: This NPO was having great success tutoring elementary school students and bringing them up to grade-level in reading, but was not generating any publicity, which effected its ability to raise money.

Results: We placed two prominent articles on the organization in the city's largest paper and secured a commitment from the local Chamber to feature the organization on the cover of its monthly newsletter, which gave them the visibility and credibility to raise $150,000 for program support.

Client: Largest publicly traded health information company ($2 billion in revenues).

Situation: Stock was depressed due to a law passed in a New England state which outlawed the collection of pharmacy data that was central to their business.

Results: Working closely with the legal and public affairs teams, we recruited a dozen KOLs who agreed with the company's position that the law was a violation of the First Amendment; op-eds by these key opinion leaders were placed in many of the state's largest papers, helping to neutralize support for the law, which was ultimately declared unconstitutional by a federal judge.
